She, The

She, the piano … He, the player
His fingers dance across her keys

She, the violin … He, the bow
Her strings sing with his touch

She, the clarinet … He, the player
His breath flows through her as music

She … his music

She, the ocean … He, the beach
Her waves gently kiss his along his shores

She, the lake … He, the skipping pebble
Each touch of her surface, a kiss and a ripple

She, the river … He, the leaf
He flows along her surface

She … his stream

She, the elm tree … He, the breeze
Her leaves dance at his touch

She, the whisper … He, the wind
Her spirit resonates within him

She, the flame … He, the air
With his breath, she burns brighter

She … his fire

She, the canvas … He, the artist
With a stroke, his brush brings her to life

She … the color of his dreams

His Words

He flows into her world
On the surface of words

His writing dances on paper
In rhythm with his thoughts

He feels her breath in every word
As he gives life with each stroke

He senses her smile and sighs
She flows out of him in waves

She peers over his shoulder
Trying not to make a sound

She has to see his thoughts
As he writes them down

The words pull at her heart
Her eyes light up with desire

Her hand brushes his shoulder
She wants him to know …

He smiles and pulls her close to him
No longer his words … they are hers
